Crate and Barrel's Ultimate Wedding Contest

The Blumbergs entered to win an Ultimate Wedding by registering at Crate and Barrel. They then hit the campaign trail to get enough votes to make the final round, and won a truly amazing event.

Our love story.

Finding a roommate in San Francisco can be daunting, so I was relieved when my friend Jen recommended her co-worker look at my apartment. Jaclyn arrived on my doorstep double-parked, tired and defeated from her roommate search. I thought she was perfect. We talked, we laughed, we awkwardly flirted. I was sold. The following day, I sent Jen an email saying: "Next time you send my future wife by, please give me notice so I can buy an engagement ring!" I was only half joking. After five incredible years-each one better than the last-the engagement is a reality!

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

1. California Wine Country amidst the vines. Think barns, wine caves and barrel rooms. 2. A scrumptious snack for our guests before the midnight hour. Think oven-warm chocolate-chip cookies and milk, or a make-your-own pizza from a drive-up truck complete with wood-fired oven. 3. The best dang, wine swillin', Horah dancin', full-of-life friends and family you'll ever lay eyes on.

Our everyday dream day.

We live it in Technicolor each day. It begins with an adventure in or along the water-a run, a bike ride, surfing or maybe all three. From there we head to a concert with our friends at one of our favorite outdoor venues. That night, we explore one of the city's new restaurants for dinner and then end the day as it had begun, in each other's arms, gently falling asleep. ALL of this is accompanied by loads and loads of belly laughter, of course!
