Crate and Barrel's Ultimate Wedding Contest

Our love story.

We began quietly at a sushi restaurant after meeting online. Two dates later, I was scrambling to find sold-out tickets for a concert he had mentioned. By date 4, he held my heart. We dated for two years before I broke things off, having doubts. He never gave up on me and 6 months later made a Say-Anything-esque gesture. We got back together and he proposed this December in New York. You could say there were two miracles on the Hudson! And if I can find the guy who gave me those tickets, he’s invited to the wedding!

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

More than anything else, we want our wedding to be fun in potentially non-traditional ways. That could mean anything from a carnival theme to a long table of boiled crabs that guests break open. We want to be unique and do not want a stuffy occasion! Our ultimate wedding would have phenomenal music that would make even the non-dancers get on the floor, ranging from classic rock to oldies to some traditional Puerto Rican music to honor the groom’s family. Lastly, we want there to be beautiful, bright color!

Our everyday dream day.

We would spend the day on the beach with our dog Winnie, enjoying the sunshine and the salt water and maybe even do some fishing. Afterward, we’d savor that post-beach shower-clean feeling, grill up some seafood and dine al fresco. Then we’d have some wine or beer in the cool evening air, light up the citronella candles and watch the lightning bugs.
