Our love story.

Jenn was long and sleek, with jet black hair, a razor sharp tongue and a matching glare. Gui was prudish and naïve, yet infectiously happy and warm. They met on the dance floor – he fell head over heels for her after the first step, and she… didn’t. He pursued her, smitten, and she shooed him away time and time again. Their love of dancing with each other kept them together as she shredded his naiveté and prudishness (and as his happiness and warmth rubbed off on her…) They now teach Blues dancing together professionally, sharing the dance they love.

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

We spent many nights plotting, scheming and falling in love on a Charles river dock overlooking Cambridge. We’d like nothing more than a humble, quiet wedding ceremony with a few close friends sitting on the edge of the dock, looking out on the city that brought us together. After that, we’d like to teach and share our dance style with all of our friends… and then throw down the biggest, baddest Blues dance in America, drawing hundreds of dancers from around the nation to dance to the music of the legendary Bluesman Buddy Guy in the classiest dance hall possible.

Our everyday dream day.

We could say that our dream day involves working on art projects together, taking roadtrips to destinations chosen by throwing darts at maps, going out to dinner with good friends, walking the city of Boston hand in hand, plotting and scheming up elaborate plans, going to the beach together… and these are all fine and wonderful things, to be sure! But really, any day that we’re dancing together is a perfect day.
