Our love story.
“Against all odds ... look at us now!” I was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome and as a baby went into full-cardiac arrest. My family was told that I would not live through the night and despite having over 50 surgeries, I love life. My dream came true when Kevin walked into my life in October 2005. That month, Kevin lost his father after a long and courageous battle with cancer. I am so thankful to have found someone who loves me for my heart. He proposed to me overlooking the Grand Canyon in June 2009. Our love is grand!
Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.
I am definitely girly while Kevin is down-to-earth and simple. We love the simple country life and want a “Country Chic,” romantic Maryland wedding. We LOVE crabs and the water! We will be married in a beautiful church and our wedding reception will follow at a waterfront setting with all of our friends and loved ones. Maryland crabcakes served during our reception would be perfect! Our song is “What a Beautiful Day” by Chris Cagle. This song will be our first dance as well as reflective of our dream wedding day.
Our everyday dream day.
“Live for today, laugh often, love much” is our mantra. We have learned to keep these words in mind and cherish every moment because we know it’s an opportunity for a moment of happiness that we can never get back. Kevin is in the Baltimore City Police Academy and I am a special education teacher. I teach elementary students who have autism and other learning disabilities. Our schedules and service to others limit our time together so any day that we spend together is a perfect day whether it is a real date or spending time with family and friends.
