Crate and Barrel's Ultimate Wedding Contest

Our love story.

We met at the office and dated casually for about a month before my father's sudden death changed everything. I didn't expect our new relationship to survive the tragedy, but EJ's devotion surprised me. He moved in with my family--all women--to shovel snow, answer phones, and offer tissues. Strange incidents occurred in those first terrible days: our ten-foot Christmas tree fell, the plumbing sprung a leak, and my parents' solid mahogany bed frame broke. EJ managed to repair them all. When things finally stopped breaking, I knew that EJ had earned my father's approval, and my love forever.

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

Our "vintage country fair" theme is inspired by the venue we chose--a beautifully renovated barn house. The event should be one part rustic romance, one part roll-in-the-hay fun. An antique photo booth, a Dixieland band, and a cotton candy machine are three details that would make our night great.

Our everyday dream day.

It begins on a warm, sunny Friday morning. EJ is home from work and has miraculously learned to use the stove! He serves me French toast and eggs in bed. I recently lost my job, so the next part of my dream day is a phone call with a job offer. To celebrate, we go shopping at Crate and Barrel (duh!) to buy the bedroom set we so desperately need. We take long walk on the waterfront before settling down to an endless dinner of cheese, bread, and very good wine.
