Our love story.
You can say that we're attached at the "stomach." For years we did long distance (Giang in LA, Chris in Seattle), so we fell in love over vacation (and food). We roamed the streets of Mexico City eating street tacos until we were stuffed. We went on a quest to find the “original” frozen yogurt in Seoul. We subway'ed through Buenos Aires trying every empanada. Chris finally moved back to LA. After dating for 5 years, Chris proposed over breakfast after making the "perfect scrambled eggs" on Christmas morning (check out the recipe on YouTube).
Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.
We want a contemporary wedding where we can share with friends and family our two passions, food and travel. Colors would include deep reds and grays. The ceremony would have a backdrop of the city, such as downtown Los Angeles, with international appetizers (like empanadas from Argentina, Japanese Mochi, and Vietnamese Spring Rolls). The ideal reception would be in a modern, industrial style loft that has subtle wall lighting and candles all over.
Our everyday dream day.
We try to take advantage of the sunny LA days by starting the morning with a bicycle ride to the beach and having brunch somewhere new along the way. We spend the afternoons in the kitchen experimenting with recipes that we found through food blogs or something that we drooled over on television (recently fried chicken). We invite our friends over for dinner. Afterwards we’d end the night relaxing on the sofa with our friends, watching a DVD or playing board games until the break of dawn (assuming Chris isn't working on his laptop).
