Crate and Barrel's Ultimate Wedding Contest

Our love story.

My fiancé and I met towards the end of high school…and almost 6 years later, here we are. We made it through 5 years of long-distance relationship attending different universities. Now that we have both graduated, we can finally spend a little more time together, but we’re still very busy with graduate school and part-time jobs. The next couple years are sure to be hectic as well, between job searching for me and he joining the Marines. With so many uncertainties ahead, it is nice to know that we’ll at least have each other for the rest of our lives.

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

(1) The most important factor for both of us is that our extended families be able to attend. We both have very large families, which make it hard to find a venue that is affordable for so many people. (2) We would also like our wedding to be on the Chesapeake Bay. We have grown up around the area, and would like to be close to our family and friends. (3) We just want everyone to have a good time—good band and delicious food!

Our everyday dream day.

Our dream day would consist of sleeping in and waking up to a big homemade breakfast. Then we would do something fun outdoors like go to the beach, kayak, play volleyball, or play tennis. Later in the day, we would have people over for a crab-feast/cook-out and hang out until the sun goes down.
