Our love story.
We met by chance in November, and by January we were head over heels in love—no fears, no trepidation. In April he had a mobile cupcake business idea. People thought we were crazy to leave stable jobs during a recession, but we unwaveringly believed in each other, and by August, our business was a reality! We got engaged on the first anniversary of our first encounter, and plan to marry on the same day this year. The future is unwritten, but our love has opened up our hearts and our lives to unlimited possibilities.
Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.
We want a wedding that reflects the joy and love we feel for each other. As for the details, we would like to get married in DC because that’s where we began our adventure together. We would like to have an elegant evening wedding, maybe candlelit, and a reception full of speeches and toasts from family and friends giving unsolicited advice on how to have a successful marriage. And the third element of the celebration will be dancing! We’ve been taking salsa lessons so we’ll want to show off our new moves!
Our everyday dream day.
The day starts with a slow and lazy morning, perusing the paper, maybe breakfast in bed. Then we’re off to do something interesting, Eastern Market, a bike ride, a local festival… We catch a late lunch at some place that we’ve had on our list of places to try. We take the day as it comes. Later, after dinner, we engage in an epic battle of strategy games… Othello and Chess are our current favorites. One of us isn’t a good loser, but there’s always the rematch. We’ve each already won the best prize of all.
