Our love story.

In MARCH 2007, opera singer Jason lost his wife to cancer. Jason proclaimed he wouldn’t date for two years, in order to focus on his two beautiful children. In the fall of 2008, he sang Figaro in Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro“, and found Carrie, his cast-mate and new best friend. After the gig, she went to Germany on a 6-month Rotary scholarship. Carrie returned to the U.S. in MARCH 2009 and the courtship began! This year they shared the stage again. He proposed onstage in front of 2,000 people on the opening night of… “The Marriage of Figaro”!

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

It would focus on family. The kids would stand by our sides, as best-man and flower girl. All of our friends and family would be there to celebrate with us. Carrie’s father is a minister, and he would officiate the ceremony. In fact, he has told us the sermon is already written! Our service would be filled with the gift of music, and would include many of our opera singer friends.

Our everyday dream day.

The kids are so excited to make Carrie a permanent part of their lives. On Sunday morning we’d attend church as a family. We’d then pack a lunch and head to the park for some quality outdoor time. Our tradition on Sunday evenings is breakfast-for-dinner, followed by “game night” in the den. After the kids go to bed, the two of us would sit on the couch and read to each other.
