Crate and Barrel's Ultimate Wedding Contest

Our love story.

In June 2008 I was flying home and saw the most beautiful girl I had ever seen at my gate. I’d like to say “Thanks” to Southwest Airlines for presenting the perfect opportunity to meet her with their “choose your own seat” policy. Living 400 miles apart, we emailed constantly for the next five months, but did not meet again until November. In December we began dating, in May moved to the same town, and on February 6, 2010, I asked her to marry me, surprising her with both of our families to celebrate.

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

Our Ultimate Wedding would combine the sophistication of the groom’s hometown, San Francisco, with the charm and hospitality of a traditional Southern wedding. From the west coast would come our signature cocktail, the Cable Car, and an amazing menu. Hayden is also certain that nothing says “welcome to my hometown” like a great (tastes-like) homemade cookie. The most important thing to us, though, is that we have a memorable evening surrounded by our family and friends.

Our everyday dream day.

Our perfect day together would start with a great brunch at our favorite local bakery, ‘Bread Winners.’ We would then take advantage of the great weather and spend the rest of the day outside, walking the Katy trail, visiting a park, and maybe even catching a Ranger’s baseball game. We would finish the day making dinner together and eating with our best friends.
