Crate and Barrel's Ultimate Wedding Contest

Our love story.

We met at a Mexican restaurant in college where I interrupted a conversation I overheard my fiancé and his friends having. We talked for the rest of the night. The following evening I told him I wanted a brownie sundae so he took me to get one. We dated for a while then parted ways after graduation. For five years we talked constantly as friends until I went to Ecuador for a year. We visited when I returned and shortly after, he invited me to move in with him. On Christmas a year later, he proposed.

Three important details about our Ultimate Wedding.

A seaside Maine wedding is our ideal location because I grew up there. The location couldn't offer more of the things we love-the outdoors, excellent food, and beautiful scenery. Food is a major part of our lives so we insist on making it a highlight at our wedding. We are both very passionate about food and love to cook. Nothing is better than an excellent meal. Music makes the evening at a wedding. We both appreciate good music and love to dance. We want our guests to have a fabulous time rocking the night away.

Our everyday dream day.

An everyday dream day would include waking up after a good night's sleep and making breakfast together. Either a bike ride or a trip to the gym would follow. A leisurely lunch at a favorite local place would make the afternoon special. Then, we'd spend the rest of the day planning and preparing for a dinner party at our home. A trip to the grocery store would inspire our menu and we'd spend the early evening playing and talking in the kitchen before our friends showed up to spend the night chatting, eating, and drinking delicious wine with us.
