Our love story

It was February 14th, 2010. A friend invited me to a singles function, which was frankly the last place I wanted to be on Valentine’s Day. I went, albeit reluctantly, and tried to keep an open mind. As it turns out, that was the very time and place that I met Gabe, the love of my life. Exactly one year later, Gabe decided to play a few original songs at an open mic night. Amidst close friends and family, Gabe serenaded me. During his last verse, he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife.

Three important details about our ultimate wedding.

The food: Farm-to-table comfort foods like burgers, hand-cut fries and milk shakes. And no Southern wedding would be complete without a classic red velvet cake.

The place: A modern meets rustic venue with exposed wooden beams and ample lighting. An expansive canvas for guests to paint that will serve as a makeshift guest book and a backdrop for portraits.

The music: A live band and some rockin’ tunes that will have our guests dancing the night away. Wedding singers need not apply.

Our ultimate dream home.

We love to entertain, so our dream home would be welcoming and functional for both large and small gatherings. The living room would have plush and comfy seating, perfect for game night or a classic movie marathon. The focal point for the dining room would be a large, rustic farmhouse table with mismatched benches and chairs. A large porch would be punctuated with outdoor furniture for dining alfresco. Our home would be donned in rich textures and comforting neutrals reminiscent of sea glass.
