Our love story
We met by chance after years of living in and out of the same city with a number of shared friends. After months of texts and long phone calls, we took a leap of faith and went from long distance (Anne in NJ, Evan in GA) to sharing a historic brick-floored apartment. We've taken long walks through Savannah's famed squares, have gone shark tooth hunting, spent long days on the beach and have mastered cooking for two. When Evan asked Anne, she said yes without an ounce of hesitation.
Three important details about our ultimate wedding.
We want our day to feel magical by having all of our loved ones come together to celebrate (1). Our hope is for a day steeped in romance: soft lighting in a historic setting, replete with brick and spanish moss and a sky dappled with stars overhead (2). To keep things from getting too sappy there will be a quirky element: say bingo before dinner? Maybe a cotton candy machine to greet guests (3)? We are striving for our wedding to be fun, unique and indicative of our life here in Savannah.
Our ultimate dream home.
As we think of designing our dream home we're hoping to hit a balance between clean lines and a cozy feel with a nod to both of our styles. The main areas of interest being our kitchen (with all of the accoutrements for a pair with chef-y aspirations: tools, serving pieces and vessels for toasting), the bedroom (Marimekko linens!, organization for all of Anne's clothes and glitter, and an actual bed frame) and the living area (couches long enough for Evan and with pull out beds for guests!).
