Our love story
We met by chance at a place called Mr. Lucky’s. Quickly I realized how intertwined our paths were. Both new to the area from the same hometown, I was leaving work to head to school; she was leaving the same school to work at my company. Soon followed travels, laughter and fun. Later, while countries apart, I finally “knew”. In Brazil for work, her absence weighed on me. The food, the festivals all reminded me of her. I was in a warm, vibrant country and looked forward to coming home to the cold.
Three important details about our ultimate wedding.
1) We picture an urban feel with warmth. Tall windows where late-afternoon sunlight spills into the cocktail hour. Fall tones contrast bold color accents. After sundown, guests dance their hearts out under city lights. 2) Great food! Cocktail hour with a story behind each dish. A mix of seated and family-style dinner to combine beautifully-plated dishes with fun times among guests. And don’t forget late-night tacos! 3) Relishing all aspects of the day from the details to time with loved ones!
Our ultimate dream home.
We’d like to entertain on a whim yet have a cozy getaway. The kitchen: bookshelves for a cookbook library, a pantry stocked to host surprise guests and monthly happy hours, and storage for every cooking tool imaginable. The backyard: a summer grilling oasis set up with outdoor kitchen and cozy couches to seat many. Garden boxes for farm-to-table cooking. An expansive lawn for games/picnics. The living area: open and bright—a place to relax and laugh surrounded by pictures of family and friends.
